The Bible states (Leviticus 19:14): “You shall not curse the deaf nor place a stumbling block before the blind.” Does this commandment to the Jewish people apply only to humans or could it also be transferred upon other creatures?

Most reading this post are animal lovers, but there are some individuals (whom most of us cannot begin to understand their reason) who incur evil onto others, including animals. And there are those who incur evil onto others negligently or in denial of the reprecussions of their actions. Both groupings of people, I believe, have placed many stubling blocks before the perfectly graceful, endangered, and functionally blind Ganges River dolphin.
The Ganges River dolphin, occupies the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna and Karnaphuli-Sangu river systems of Bangladesh and India, the Indus River or Pakistan, and a select few live in the Karnali River of Nepal, and yes, they are functionally blind, as they do not possess lenses over their eyes, disallowing them to properly see. In order to communicate with one another, find food, and navigate they utilize echolocation, in addition to feeling the bottoms of the muddy rivers with their fins.
With a population size estimated to be no more than 1,200 (though some debatable past studies claim as many as 1,800 may still be alive) the time to save this dolphin is NOW. Please help us save the last few from extinction by donating here: http://www.gabbywild.com/donate.php
